Little Miss Southside was started by Keanna Sherri. The purpose of this blog is to inspire newbie filmmakers into creating art. As Keanna develops her first directorial project, “Mole”, the blog “Little Miss Southside” will document every step, including lessons learned.
Keanna Prince was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. She began writing in grade school, winning a Young Author’s award in the 5th grade. It wasn’t until 2012 that she discovered screenwriting. Since then, Keanna has written several short scripts and is currently working on her first feature (which she plans to self-produce upon completion). In early 2018, she began a film production company called “Funny After Five Productions”, which will focus on comedic shorts based on improv comedy.
Keanna has taken classes at The Second City’s training center and is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago. When she is not being a bad-ass female writer and filmmaker, she enjoys exploring the many neighborhoods of Chicago and being an awesome Cat Mom!
